Orange Cardamom Smoothie

🧂 Ingredients

  • 1 cup fresh orange juice
  • 1 banana
  • ½ teaspoon ground cardamom
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
  • ½ cup ice cubes

📖 Instructions

💦 Juicing the Oranges:
Freshly squeeze 2-3 oranges to get about 1 cup of juice. If you're using store-bought juice, make sure it's freshly pressed or 100% pure orange juice.

🍌 Prepare the Banana:
Peel and slice the ripe banana. Bananas add a natural creaminess and sweetness. Substituting 1/2 cup of yogurt is an alternative to banana.

🌀 Blending:
Add the fresh orange juice, banana slices (or yogurt), ground cardamom, honey (or maple syrup), and vanilla extract into your blender.

Add ice cubes if you'd like a cooler smoothie (and chia or flaxseeds for extra fiber and nutrients).

Blend on high speed for about 30 seconds or until smooth and creamy.

👨‍🍳 Taste and Adjust:
Taste your smoothie and add more sweetener if you'd like it sweeter. You can also add a little more orange juice if the smoothie is too thick.

🥤 Serve:
Pour into a glass and garnish with a small sprinkle of ground cardamom or an orange slice for an added touch of flavor.

💡 Optional Garnish:
A pinch of ground cardamom on top for that extra spice.
An orange slice or zest for a fresh citrusy twist.
