Beef Tacos with Homemade Seasoning
🧂 Ingredients
- 1 1/2 pounds ground beef (85% lean) Buy

- 12 small corn or flour tortillas Buy

📖 Instructions
🌶️ Mix the Taco Seasoning
- In a small bowl, stir together chili powder, cumin, smoked paprika, oregano, onion powder, cayenne, salt, and black pepper.
🥩 Brown the Beef
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
- Add the onion and cook for 3 minutes until soft.
- Stir in the garlic and cook for 30 seconds.
- Add the ground beef and cook for 6 to 7 minutes, breaking it apart, until fully browned.
- Drain off any excess fat.
🍅 Simmer the Filling
- Sprinkle the seasoning mix over the beef and stir to coat.
- Pour in the tomato sauce and beef broth.
- Simmer over medium-low heat for 8 minutes until the sauce thickens and clings to the meat.
🌮 Assemble the Tacos
- Warm the tortillas in a dry skillet or directly over a gas flame for 20 seconds per side.
- Fill each tortilla with seasoned beef, cheddar, lettuce, tomato, and a dollop of sour cream.
- Garnish with cilantro and serve with lime wedges.
